Dick Nugent
Dick Nugent, a Senior Design Consultant of Nugent Golf Inc., is a
nationally known golf course architect offering course design and construction management
services.
Education
Mr. Nugent graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, in
1958, with a degree in Landscape Architecture.
Professional History
Upon graduation from the University of Illinois, he was employed by Robert Bruce
Harris, Landscape Architect, in Chicago. He was Principal Architect of Killian and
Nugent Inc., from 1964 to 1983, when he formed his own company. He is a board certified,
licensed Landscape Architect with CLARB and has is also a licensed Landscape Architect in
Illinois, Minnesota, West Virginia, and Arizona.
Professional Affiliations
Mr. Nugent is a member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects; he served as
its president from 1981 to 1982. He is also a member of the American Society of Landscape
Architects and currently serves on the Green Section of the United States Golf
Association.
Course Design Highlights
Outstanding Nugent-designed courses include the Kemper Lakes Golf Course in Long Grove,
Illinois. This course was the site of the l989 PGA Championship and the 1992 U.S. Women's
Amateur Championship and is the annual host for the Ameritech Senior Open.
Mr. Nugent also designed the Arrowhead Golf Course in Nekoosa, Wisconsin and George
Dunne National in Oak Forest, Illinois. Bothe of these courses are listed in Golf
Digest's Top 50 Best Public Courses. In 1994, Heritage Bluffs in Channahon,
Illinois as listed in the top ten new public courses by Golf Digest magazine and
received recognition as one of the best golf experiences available in Illinois.
Other prominent Nugent-designed courses include the Dunes Club in Michigan and Koolau
Golf Course in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Sports Illustrated picked the Dunes Club as
the "best nine-hole course in the country" and Koolau Golf Course has received
accolades from PGA Tour officials as one of the most exciting new courses in the world.
Most recently, Mr. Nugent designed the widely acclaimed Harborside International Golf
Center, which was constructed on a former landfill and has received numerous international
environmental awards, including the American Public Works Association 1996 National
Outstanding Environmental Project, the American Academy of Environmental Engineers Superior
Achievement in Environmental Engineering Award 1996, and Golf Digests 1997
Environmental Project of the Year Award.
In addition, Mr. Nugent was a speaker at the Public Golf Forum on "Landfills,
Mines and Quarries: Reclaiming Unwanted Land for Golf Development" and
submitted a paper and spoke at SWANA's 34th Annual International Solid Waste Exposition on
"Plan for the Phoenix" featuring Willowhill Golf Course and Harborside
International Golf Center.

Tim Nugent
After spending most of his early years by his father's side on golf course construction
sites and discussing golf course design issues with him, Tim Nugent continued his
education at Arizona State University where he received a Bachelors degree in Engineering
Construction Management and an MBA in Real Estate Development.
In 1989, Tim Nugent rejoined Nugent Golf as Vice President - Construction Operations.
Under Mr. Nugent's direction, the first two of three courses designed by Arnold Palmer,
Lee Trevino, and Gary Player for the Geneva National Resort/residential development in
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin were completed simultaneously on time within the budget.
Subsequently, Tim Nugent supervised the completion of the Koolau Golf Course in Oahu,
Hawaii.
Since then Mr. Nugent has become a principal architect and has been responsible for the
design of Harborside International Golf Center in Chicago, Illinois, Heritage Bluffs in
Channahon, Illinois, and Prairie Green Golf Course in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Recent
designs include White Deer Run in Vernon Hills, Illinois and White Hawk Country Club in
Crown Point, Indiana. The hignly acclaimed Green Bay Country Club designed by Mr. Nugent
has been ranked #6 "Best New Private Courses in 1995" and #3 "Best Course
in Wisconsin" by Golf Digest.
Currently, he is designing courses on closed landfills both in Columbus, Ohio and
Bensenville, Illinois. He will soon begin supervising construction of the Verde Valley
Ranch Golf Club in Camp Verde, Arizona, which was designed for the Phelps Dodge
Corporation on an extremely environmentally sensitive site. He is also co-designing a
course in Houston, Texas with PGA Pro David Ogrin.
Tim Nugent is a principal architect and chief operating officer for Nugent Golf
Inc. He is also a member of the National Society of Golf Course Architects.

Andrea Nugent
Ms. Nugent is an Arizona State University summa cum laude graduate with a degree in
Industrial and Management Systems Engineering. After working as an Industrial Engineer for
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Corp., she joined Nugent Golf in 1989 as a project controls
manager, responsible for scheduling, cost analysis and developing the firms computer
aided design systems.
In 1995, Ms. Nugents responsibilities were expanded to include complete
operations management services for the newly opened Willowhill Golf Course in Northbrook,
Illinois. Her duties include personnel hiring and training, budgeting, marketing, and
daily management services. Under her direction, the net income from merchandise sales and
operations for this 9 hole course has consistantly exceeded the Owner's expectations.
She is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the American Association
of Cost Engineers.

Colleen McArthur
As Office Manager, Ms. McArthur supervises the word processing, clerical and accounting
work. She has extensive experience in the production of the many documents required for
golf course architectural project development. Ms. McArthur was a qualifier in the 1982
Womens Amateur Public Links Championship. She served on the Illinois Womens
Amateur Public Links Committee for several years. She has been associated with Nugent Golf
since 1981.
